Ashley & Matt

15th November 2025 ยท Hedingham Castle, CO9 3DJ

Please join Ashley and Matt on November 15th 2025 as we celebrate our wedding at Hedingham Castle.

Our Relationship

Our relationship started after we both swiped right for each other on the 23rd September 2018. Straight away we started messaging and calling each other. Soon after, we had our first date at Dean Street Townhouse on the 28th September. This then led to our first kiss in the dressing room of Chicago at the Phoenix Theatre!

We jumped head first and havenโ€™t looked back. Over the years we have loved, laughed, cried, and supported each other through lifeโ€™s ups and downs. We have 100% had each others backs.

Most importantly we completed our little family with our monster Deano, named after the Dean Street Townhouse where we had our first date!

We moved into our house together in Bury St Edmunds in Feb 2023 and got engaged at Windmill Farm in Somerset on the 29th September (There was lots of crying!).

Weโ€™re so excited to start the next chapter of our life as Mr& Mrโ€ฆ

Venue

Hedingham Castle

Hedingham Castle will serve as our beautiful wedding venue, which we fell in love with at first sight. We are excited for you to experience the big day in this wonderful setting.

Nestled in the Essex-Suffolk border in England, Hedingham Castle is a remarkable example of Norman architecture, with a history dating back almost a millennium. Constructed by the first Earl of Oxford, Aubrey de Vere, around 1140, the well-preserved keep is one of the best of its kind in the country. Aubrey was a prominent Norman nobleman who was granted the land by William the Conqueror after the Battle of Hastings in 1066.

The Georgian House was added in 1719 by Sir William Ashurst, the Lord Mayor of London. Ownership of the estate passed back to descendants of the de Veres, the Lindsays, in the early 1980s, and it is now the family home of Jason Lindsay, his wife Demetra and their three children.

Throughout its history, Hedingham Castle has witnessed various historical events, including the Anarchy, a civil war in the mid-12th century, and has welcomed many notable guests including Henry VII and Queen Elizabeth I.

The most important gift to us is having you there to share our special day. But if you wish to contribute in some other way, we would love a few pennies to put in our pot for our honeymoon trip after tying the knot.

We will also have a box available on the day for cards and gifts.
